1. A Professional Team never suggests donations, nor requires fees for an investigation.
A professional team is interested in the paranormal, not collecting your money. Involving money in an investigation can easily skew the results into the creation of false evidence in an effort to give you something for your money. NJ TRUE will NEVER ask nor expect payment for services.
2. A team should not dictate how an investigation is conducted without considering your input and/or requests.
As a member of our NJ True family, we respect your home and your request for an investigation. We will not attempt to "bully" you into leaving your home or deny you an investigation because you didn't succumb to unreasonable demands. NJ TRUE works with every family or business to identify the most successful strategy for the investigation within YOUR established parameters.
3. A team should consist of a reasonable number of investigators.
NJ True considers the size of the location and isn't interested in overwhelming an environment with an excessive number of investigators. We can discuss the number of investigators appropriate for an investigation during our initial interview. NJ True always respects the trust you place in us.
4. A team explaining they are certified or experts of the paranormal should be avoided.
While there are many certification programs, there are no Nationally established guidelines to validate an investigators knowledge or techniques. Since the paranormal field lacks well defined factual support, an investigator can be experienced, but not an expert. NJ True investigators are experienced paranormal investigators.
5. A team/investigator should avoid the "Provoke" technique unless absolutely necessary.
Provoking is the act of challenging an energy to prove itself to you. The technique shows a complete lack of respect for the energy or entity and may cause harm to the investigators or others in the home. Provoke is a display of weakness rather than strength on the part of the investigator. If you experience an investigator "provoking" spirits, ask them to explain why the technique is being employed or ask that investigator to leave your home. A lack of respect to the entity is also a lack of respect for you and your home. NJ TRUE does not utilize "provoke" as an appropriate investigative strategy.
6. A team should present you with both visual, auditory, and personal experiences.
During a reveal, you should have an opportunity to dialogue with the lead investigators regarding the findings. You should have time to have your experiences explained or validated. NJ True always provides you with a thorough explaination and a complete reveal. We will afford you the opportunity to ask questions and discuss any concerns.
