New Jersey True Paranormal Resources
1. What is "paranormal" activity?
Simply stated, it is an event or experience in your life that cannot be explained. Some describe the events as coincidence, others fail to observe such instances while some are keenly aware and receptive.
2. What if I don't believe in the paranormal?
Consider all matter and energy that we interact with daily only composes 4% of the entire Universe. Is it possible that something unknown that surrounds us eludes our ability to qualify or quantify its properties? Science has proven this already true.
Where does paranormal activity exist?
Activity can exist anywhere. It may exist when certain environment conditions are conducive to anchoring energy to a specific event, location, or person. The energy is capable of remaining static in an environment in a residual form or maintain an active and at times, inter-active presence.
What are the best tools for detecting the paranormal?
You. The human body is an excellent scientific instrument. Your body will react to environmental stimulus. Ears, for example, can detect changes in barometric pressure and a range of sound energy. Skin, can detect changes in thermal energy and experience the sensation of pressure. Eyes process the reflection or refraction of light or detect mechanical energy. An investigator often "feels" paranormal activity prior to encountering it.
How can I capture a paranormal presence?
Investigators can capture the presence of paranormal activity using a variety of scientific measurement devices, but most prefer to see or hear it through digital photography, video or audio recordings.
What can I capture in a digital photograph?
There are many false positives in digital photography. Base images should be used to establish a control group of photos. A secondary image can be taken at any time, however, the feeling of a presence during daylight or nighttime conditions are likely to reveal some type of validation.
There was mist in my photograph, is that a ghost?
First, let's remember we are documenting paranormal activity, so it must begin with a question, "What do I see in the photo?" Is it your breathe? The steam from the storm drain? If the time in which you took the photo accompanied no other feelings or data, then most likely the documentation would be inconclusive.
What is an orb, mist, and apparition?
Many veterans of the paranormal have established a connection between the three events. An orb has been described as a manafestation of energy. It may represent only energy or something more. Think about all the objects traveling in the celestial body known as the Universe; every object defaults to a spherical shape. A sphere can transform into a mist in order to perform some type of function. Finally, an apparition may be one possible function of the manifestation of energy.
Who is qualified to judge my evidence?
Any experienced paranormal investigator can examine your evidence, but a word of caution; the evidence is for your own validation. While we utilize "evidence" to present to clients for validation, anyone not present during the experience should question its authenticity. In part, this explains the motivation for a pair of investigators. The more witnesses and data associated with the visual or audio documentation, the more value placed on its collection.
