Proceed only with the following belief: Orbs are not ghosts; orbs are orbs, unexplained phenonimal often captured utilizing the abililty of a device capture reflections in the infared spectrum. We may assume that paranormal activity is visable at lower energy frequencies. Anonolies captured either on traditional film, digital or SLR imagerdey are interesting and may provide a resources for a broader understanding of paranormal activity.

Understanding You Camera

For this explanation, the assumption is made that a digital camera or phone camera has been brought to an investigation. Let's ask a couple of questions...

  • What is the resolution of your camera?
  • Where is the flash located?
  • Do you have a lens hood?

First, complete an inventory. Does the camera capture images in a resolution of greater than 4 MegaPixels. A camera taking images with a resolution less than 4MP relies on a faulty CMOS (internal operating system) which may cause spots in an image as a result of a failure to captre pixels in a given area.

The first step is making sure the lens is clean. A dirty lens will NOT create orbs, but you don't want anything interferring with that incredible image. Second, how old is the digital camera you're using?

Capturing the Image

Let's begin by remembering what you are about to capture is a reflection.
